On Friday, July 2nd, Lori and Steve left their London hotel, and headed out to Windsor. A subway ride to Paddington station, then a train to Slough and a transfer to Eton/Windsor. All in the heat, humidity, and lack of rain that locals say will break all records for the summer. The Castle met us as we arrived! Windsor is a lovely little place. We toured the castle later, in order to get there after the choir, just to give them their space. So, guess who we saw? Yep. They had gone to Westminster Abbey that morning (not in the initial plans). So, they came later to Windsor. Lori and Steve spent the night in Windsor, and went on "The Long Walk", a beautiful 3 mile path with Windsor Castle as the backdrop. From the picture, you will see that the Queen is a Dawg Fan. Purple is Royalty, after all! The choir went on to Oxford on Friday afternoon. They also toured the University, had dinner, and I have to believe, crashed! They accomplished a lot Friday.

Rocking the DAWGS gear!
I'm really enjoying your blogging - thanks for sharing with us. Of course we wish we were there to enjoy with you. Can't believe the Queen left for Canada, knowing you would be there! :-) Love, Mahlon
